1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 1217
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 1217 as follows:
3 on page 1, by replacing lines 1 and 2 with the following:
4 "AN ACT concerning civil immunity, amending named Acts.";
5 and
6 below line 4, by inserting the following:
7 "Section 3. The Local Governmental and Governmental
8 Employees Tort Immunity Act is amended by adding Section
9 2-214 as follows:
10 (745 ILCS 10/2-214 new)
11 Sec. 2-214. Court volunteer.
12 (a) In this Section, "volunteer" means a person
13 performing uncompensated services for a court pursuant to a
14 court order, under a program certified by the Chief Judge of
15 the circuit as a court volunteer program.
16 (b) A volunteer is not liable for his or her act or
17 omission in performing volunteer services pursuant to a court
18 order, under a program certified by the Chief Judge of the
19 circuit as a court volunteer program, unless the act or
20 omission constitutes willful and wanton conduct.".
