1 AN ACT to amend the Illinois Purchasing Act by changing
2 Section 2.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Illinois Purchasing Act is amended by
6 changing Section 2 as follows:
7 (30 ILCS 505/2) (from Ch. 127, par. 132.2)
8 Sec. 2. Purpose. It is the purpose of this Act and is
9 hereby declared to be the policy of the State that the
10 principle of competitive bidding and economical procurement
11 practices shall be applicable to all purchases and contracts
12 by or for any State Agency.
