          Amends the Rivers, Lakes,  and  Streams  Act  to  make  a
      technical  change in a provision concerning the Department of
      Natural Resources having jurisdiction  and  supervision  over
      rivers and lakes.

 1        AN  ACT  to  amend  the Rivers, Lakes, and Streams Act by
 2    changing Section 5.
 3        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 4    represented in the General Assembly:
 5        Section 5.  The Rivers, Lakes, and Streams Act is amended
 6    by changing Section 5 as follows:
 7        (615 ILCS 5/5) (from Ch. 19, par. 52)
 8        Sec.  5.  Jurisdiction;  supervision; list of waters. The
 9    Department of Natural Resources  shall  upon  behalf  of  the
10    State of Illinois, have jurisdiction and supervision over all
11    of the rivers and lakes of the State of Illinois, wherein the
12    State  of Illinois or the people of the State have any rights
13    or interests, and shall make a list by counties  of  all  the
14    waters  of  Illinois,  showing the waters, both navigable and
15    non-navigable, that are found in each county  of  the  State,
16    and  if the same are lakes, the extent of the shore lines and
17    the amount, extent and area of the water surface;  and  in  a
18    like  way, if the same are rivers, and specifying whether the
19    same are navigable or non-navigable, and whether they have or
20    have not been meandered.
