Act. Requires automatic teller machines to display
transaction fees before a consumer exercises an option to
complete the transaction. Requires at the time of the
transaction a printed receipt setting forth the fees to be

1 AN ACT to amend the Electronic Fund Transfer Transmission
2 Facility Act by adding Section 8-106.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Electronic Fund Transfer Transmission
6 Facility Act is amended by adding Section 8-106 as follows:

8 Sec. 8-106. Automatic teller machines; fee disclosure.
9 A transaction at an automatic teller machine must include the
10 display of a screen that states the fees to be imposed upon
11 the consumer for the transaction. The screen must remain
12 visible until the consumer exercises an option to continue
13 with the transaction. An automatic teller machine shall
14 print on each receipt presented to a consumer at the time of
15 the transaction the amount of fees charged to the consumer
16 for the transaction.
