Updating the database of the Illinois Compiled Statutes (ILCS) is an ongoing process. Recent laws may not yet be included in the ILCS database, but they are found on this site as Public Acts soon after they become law. For information concerning the relationship between statutes and Public Acts, refer to the Guide.
Because the statute database is maintained primarily for legislative drafting purposes, statutory changes are sometimes included in the statute database before they take effect. If the source note at the end of a Section of the statutes includes a Public Act that has not yet taken effect, the version of the law that is currently in effect may have already been removed from the database and you should refer to that Public Act to see the changes made to the current law.
(625 ILCS 5/18d-119) (This Section may contain text from a Public Act with a delayed effective date) Sec. 18d-119. Making false statement; power to deny application and revoke registration. (a) The Commission may deny, suspend, or revoke a commercial vehicle safety relocator registration if the applicant or licensee is found to have made a materially false statement or a material omission in a filing with the Commission, if the applicant has applied as a subterfuge for another party in interest, or if the applicant's business is operated, managed, or otherwise controlled by a person who was not disclosed on the application. (b) The Commission shall not issue a commercial vehicle safety relocator registration to an applicant who has been denied or revoked pursuant to subsection (a) for a period of up to 3 years from the date the application was denied or registration was revoked.(Source: P.A. 104-133, eff. 1-1-26.) |
