Illinois Compiled Statutes (ILCS)
Updating the database of the Illinois Compiled Statutes (ILCS) is an ongoing process. Recent laws may not yet be included in the ILCS database, but they are found on this site as Public Acts soon after they become law. For information concerning the relationship between statutes and Public Acts, refer to the Guide.
Because the statute database is maintained primarily for legislative drafting purposes, statutory changes are sometimes included in the statute database before they take effect. If the source note at the end of a Section of the statutes includes a Public Act that has not yet taken effect, the version of the law that is currently in effect may have already been removed from the database and you should refer to that Public Act to see the changes made to the current law.
(20 ILCS 301/50-25) (Section scheduled to be repealed on January 1, 2027) Sec. 50-25. Youth Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Prevention Fund. There is hereby created in the State treasury a special Fund to be known as the Youth Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Prevention Fund. Monies in this Fund shall be appropriated to the Department and expended for the purpose of helping support and establish community-based alcohol and other drug abuse prevention programs. On June 30, 2026, or as soon thereafter as practical, the State Comptroller shall direct and the State Treasurer shall transfer the remaining balance from the Youth Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Prevention Fund into the General Revenue Fund. Upon completion of the transfer, the Youth Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Prevention Fund is dissolved, and any future deposits due to that Fund and any outstanding obligations or liabilities of that Fund shall pass to the General Revenue Fund. This Section is repealed on January 1, 2027. (Source: P.A. 104-2, eff. 6-16-25.) |
