Illinois Compiled Statutes - Full Text
Information maintained by the Legislative Reference Bureau
Updating the database of the Illinois Compiled Statutes (ILCS) is an ongoing process. Recent laws may not yet be included in the ILCS database, but they are found on this site as Public Acts soon after they become law. For information concerning the relationship between statutes and Public Acts, refer to the Guide.
Because the statute database is maintained primarily for legislative drafting purposes, statutory changes are sometimes included in the statute database before they take effect. If the source note at the end of a Section of the statutes includes a Public Act that has not yet taken effect, the version of the law that is currently in effect may have already been removed from the database and you should refer to that Public Act to see the changes made to the current law.

All unexpended appropriations and balances and other moneys available for use in connection with any of the State healthcare purchasing functions transferred from the Department of Healthcare and Family Services to the Department of Central Management Services are transferred for use by the Department of Central Management Services for the exercise of those functions pursuant to the direction of the Governor. Unexpended balances so transferred shall be expended only for the purpose for which the appropriations were originally made. (b) Appropriations of the Department of Corrections, the Department of Juvenile Justice, the Department of Human Services, and the Department of Veterans' Affairs (now the Department of Veterans Affairs) were not in fact transferred under Executive Order 3 (2005) and are not affected by this Act.(Source: P.A. 104-234, eff. 8-15-25.) |
