Updating the database of the Illinois Compiled Statutes (ILCS) is an ongoing process.
Recent laws may not yet be included in the ILCS database, but they are found on this site as
Public
Acts soon after they become law. For information concerning the relationship between statutes and Public Acts, refer to the
Guide.
Because the statute database is maintained primarily for legislative drafting purposes,
statutory changes are sometimes included in the statute database before they take effect.
If the source note at the end of a Section of the statutes includes a Public Act that has
not yet taken effect, the version of the law that is currently in effect may have already
been removed from the database and you should refer to that Public Act to see the changes
made to the current law.
(810 ILCS 5/12A-303) Sec. 12A-303. Security interest unperfected before effective date. A security interest that is enforceable immediately before the effective date of this amendatory Act of the 103rd General Assembly but is unperfected at that time: (1) remains an enforceable security interest until |

(2) remains enforceable thereafter if the security
|
| interest becomes enforceable under Section 9-203, as amended by this amendatory Act of the 103rd General Assembly, on the effective date of this amendatory Act of the 103rd General Assembly or before the adjustment date; and
|
|
(3) becomes perfected:
(A) without further action, on the effective date
|
| of this amendatory Act of the 103rd General Assembly if the requirements for perfection under this amendatory Act of the 103rd General Assembly are satisfied before or at that time; or
|
|
(B) when the requirements for perfection are
|
| satisfied if the requirements are satisfied after that time.
