Updating the database of the Illinois Compiled Statutes (ILCS) is an ongoing process. Because the statute database is maintained primarily for legislative drafting purposes, statutory changes are sometimes included in the statute database before they take effect. If the source note at the end of a Section of the statutes includes a Public Act that has not yet taken effect, the version of the law that is currently in effect may have already been removed from the database and you should refer to that Public Act to see the changes made to the current law.

    Sec. 5. The Director of the Illinois Emergency Management Agency is authorized to enter into contracts as he may deem necessary for carrying out the provisions of this Act. Such contracts may include the assessment of fees by the Agency. The fees required shall be established at a rate which provides an annual amount equal to the anticipated reasonable cost necessary to maintain, monitor, and otherwise supervise and care for lands and facilities as required in the interest of public health and safety.
