Updating the database of the Illinois Compiled Statutes (ILCS) is an ongoing process. Recent laws may not yet be included in the ILCS database, but they are found on this site as Public Acts soon after they become law. For information concerning the relationship between statutes and Public Acts, refer to the Guide.

Because the statute database is maintained primarily for legislative drafting purposes, statutory changes are sometimes included in the statute database before they take effect. If the source note at the end of a Section of the statutes includes a Public Act that has not yet taken effect, the version of the law that is currently in effect may have already been removed from the database and you should refer to that Public Act to see the changes made to the current law.

Sec. 7.

(1) There is created an Illinois State Board of Plumbing
Examiners which shall exercise its duties provided in this Act under the
supervision of the Department.  The Board shall consist of 9 licensed plumbers
designated from time to time by the Director.  In making the appointments to
the Board, the Director shall consider the recommendations of
individuals, firms or organizations involved in plumbing in this State.

(2) The Board shall aid the Director and the Department by:

(a) Preparing subject matter for examinations as provided in this Act.

(b) Suggesting rules to govern examinations and hearings for suspension,
revocation or reinstatement of licenses.

(c) Submitting recommendations to the Director from time to time for the
efficient administration of this Act.

(d) Grading all tests and examinations for licenses and promptly
reporting the results to the Director.

(e) Performing such other duties from time to time prescribed by the
Director.

(3) Each Board member shall be compensated the sum of $50 for each day
or part thereof on which he serves on business of the Board and in addition
thereto shall be reimbursed for per diem expenses as authorized for State employees.
