Updating the database of the Illinois Compiled Statutes (ILCS) is an ongoing process. Because the statute database is maintained primarily for legislative drafting purposes, statutory changes are sometimes included in the statute database before they take effect. If the source note at the end of a Section of the statutes includes a Public Act that has not yet taken effect, the version of the law that is currently in effect may have already been removed from the database and you should refer to that Public Act to see the changes made to the current law.

    (225 ILCS 317/50)
    Sec. 50. Powers and duties of the Office. The Office has all of the following powers and duties:
        (a) To prescribe and furnish application forms,
    
licenses, and any other forms necessary under this Act.
        (b) To suspend, revoke, or refuse to issue or renew
    
licenses for cause.
        (c) To conduct hearings concerning the suspension,
    
revocation, or refusal to issue or renew licenses.
        (d) To levy and collect fines pursuant to this Act.
        (e) To adopt rules and incorporate standards
    
necessary for the administration of this Act and to enforce the rules and standards adopted under the Act or its rules.
        (f) To investigate applications, complaints, and
    
allegations of violations associated with this Act.
        (g) To establish fee schedules for licenses.
        (h) To establish a database of licensed fire
    
sprinkler contractors and licensed fire sprinkler inspectors.
