Because the statute database is maintained primarily for legislative drafting purposes, statutory changes are sometimes included in the statute database before they take effect. If the source note at the end of a Section of the statutes includes a Public Act that has not yet taken effect, the version of the law that is currently in effect may have already been removed from the database and you should refer to that Public Act to see the changes made to the current law.

    Sec. 155. Temporary suspension of license; hearing. The Director may temporarily suspend licensure as a wholesale drug distributor or third-party logistics provider, without a hearing, simultaneously with the institution of proceedings for a hearing provided for in Section 85 of this Act, if the Director finds that evidence in his or her possession indicates that a continuation in business would constitute an imminent danger to the public. In the event that the Director temporarily suspends a license or certificate without a hearing, a hearing by the Department must be held within 10 days after the suspension has occurred and be concluded without appreciable delay.

The Secretary may temporarily suspend licensure as a wholesale drug distributor or third-party logistics provider, without a hearing, simultaneously with the institution of proceedings for a hearing provided for in Section 85 of this Act, if the Secretary finds that evidence in his or her possession indicates that a continuation in business would constitute an imminent danger to the public. In the event that the Secretary temporarily suspends a license or certificate without a hearing, a hearing by the Department must be held within 10 days after the suspension has occurred and be concluded without appreciable delay.
