Updating the database of the Illinois Compiled Statutes (ILCS) is an ongoing process. Recent laws may not yet be included in the ILCS database, but they are found on this site as Public Acts soon after they become law. For information concerning the relationship between statutes and Public Acts, refer to the Guide.

Because the statute database is maintained primarily for legislative drafting purposes, statutory changes are sometimes included in the statute database before they take effect. If the source note at the end of a Section of the statutes includes a Public Act that has not yet taken effect, the version of the law that is currently in effect may have already been removed from the database and you should refer to that Public Act to see the changes made to the current law.

    (20 ILCS 665/4b)
    Sec. 4b. Coordinating Committee. There is created a Coordinating Committee of State agencies involved with tourism in the State of Illinois. The Committee shall consist of the Director of Commerce and Economic Opportunity as chairman, the Lieutenant Governor, the Secretary of Transportation or his or her designee, and the head executive officer or his or her designee of the following: the Lincoln Presidential Library; the Department of Natural Resources; the Department of Agriculture; the Illinois Arts Council; the Illinois Community College Board; and the Board of Higher Education. The Committee shall also include 4 members of the Illinois General Assembly, one of whom shall be named by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, one of whom shall be named by the Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, one of whom who shall be named by the President of the Senate, and one of whom shall be named by the Minority Leader of the Senate. The Committee shall meet at least quarterly and at other times as called by the chair. The Committee shall coordinate the promotion and development of tourism activities throughout State government.
