Updating the database of the Illinois Compiled Statutes (ILCS) is an ongoing process. Because the statute database is maintained primarily for legislative drafting purposes, statutory changes are sometimes included in the statute database before they take effect. If the source note at the end of a Section of the statutes includes a Public Act that has not yet taken effect, the version of the law that is currently in effect may have already been removed from the database and you should refer to that Public Act to see the changes made to the current law.

    (5 ILCS 80/4.39)
    Sec. 4.39. Acts and Section repealed on January 1, 2029 and December 31, 2029.
    (a) The following Acts and Section are repealed on January 1, 2029:
        The Electrologist Licensing Act.
        The Environmental Health Practitioner Licensing Act.
        The Illinois Occupation Therapy Practice Act.
        The Crematory Regulation Act.
        The Illinois Public Accounting Act.
        The Private Detective, Private Alarm, Private
    
Security, Fingerprint Vendor, and Locksmith Act of 2004.
        Section 2.5 of the Illinois Plumbing License Law.
        The Veterinary Medicine and Surgery Practice Act of
    
2004.
        The Registered Surgical Assistant and Registered
    
Surgical Technologist Title Protection Act.
    (b) The following Act is repealed on December 31, 2029:
        The Structural Pest Control Act.
