(510 ILCS 5/2.18) (from Ch. 8, par. 352.18)
Sec. 2.18.
"Pound" or "animal control facility" may be used
interchangeably and
mean any facility approved by the Administrator for the purpose
of enforcing this Act and used as a shelter for seized, stray, homeless,
abandoned, or unwanted dogs or other animals.
