(45 ILCS 15/3) (from Ch. 23, par. 2603)

Sec. 3. The "appropriate public authorities" as used in Article III of the Interstate Compact on the Placement of Children shall, with reference to this state, mean the Department of Children and Family Services, and the Department shall receive and act with reference to notices required by Article III.
