(30 ILCS 525/4.2) (from Ch. 85, par. 1604.2)

Sec. 4.2. Any governmental unit may, without violating any bidding requirement otherwise applicable to it, procure supplies and services under any contract let by the State pursuant to lawful procurement procedures. Purchases made by the State of Illinois must be approved or authorized by the appropriate chief procurement officer.
