 1        AN ACT making appropriations.

 2        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section  5.  The  sum  of  $6,586,300, or so much of that
 5    amount  as  may  be  necessary,  is  appropriated  from   the
 6    Education  Assistance  Fund  to  the  Board  of  Trustees  of
 7    Northeastern  Illinois  University  to  meet the ordinary and
 8    contingent expenses of the University, including  payment  or
 9    reimbursement  to  the  University  for personal services and
10    related costs incurred during the fiscal year  authorized  by
11    law for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2004.

12        Section  99.  Effective  date.  This  Act takes effect on
13    July 1, 2003.
