1     AN ACT concerning the Department on Aging.

2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:

4     Section 5. The Illinois Act on the Aging is amended by
5 adding Section 8.10 as follows:

6     (20 ILCS 105/8.10 new)
7     Sec. 8.10. Aging family caregiver assistance program.
8 Subject to appropriation, the Department must establish and
9 administer a program to provide support services to Illinois
10 residents aged 60 or older who are the primary caregivers to
11 one or more family members who are developmentally disabled.
12 The Department must adopt rules necessary for the
13 implementation of this Section, including the establishment of
14 additional eligibility criteria.
