SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Peter Kroll of Chicago, who passed away on December 5, 2021, at the age of 74; and

WHEREAS, Peter Kroll was known by his legions of fans as a Highland Park High School football legend, and he will be remembered by his loved ones as the best kind of person you could ever hope to call your father, husband, friend, or relative; and

WHEREAS, Peter Kroll had a smile that lit up a room, a heart that glowed brilliantly, and the ability to see the positive in everything and everyone; he leaves behind a legacy of joy, adventure, connection and beautiful memories; and

WHEREAS, Peter Kroll was preceded in death by his daughter, Dana Kroll; and

WHEREAS, Peter Kroll is survived by his wife and very best friend, Torrie Flink; his daughters, Kim (Kevin) Wolfberg, Olivia (Gary) Belmonti, and Vanessa Flink-Larsen; and his grandchildren, Oliver, Thomas, and Margaret Wolfberg and Fiona, Luca, and Celeste Belmonti; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Peter Kroll and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Peter Kroll as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
