SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of John P. "Jack" Milefchik of Rock
4Island, who passed away on October 14, 2022; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Jack Milefchik was born to George and Mary
6Milefchik in Pocahontas, Iowa on July 3, 1935; he served in the
7U.S. Army; he married Jeannette Dirks in Pocahontas on April
81, 1967; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Jack Milefchik retired from the Rock Island
10Arsenal in 1990, after 35 years of service; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Jack Milefchik was a member of St. Mary Catholic
12Church, the Catholic Order of Foresters, and Moline American
13Legion Post 246; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Jack Milefchik enjoyed working on clocks and
15spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren;
16and
 
17    WHEREAS, Jack Milefchik was preceded in death by his
18parents; his son, Thomas M. Milefchik; and his siblings,
19Eugene Milefchik, Loretta Shalik, Betty Halder, and Francis
20Milefchik; and

1    WHEREAS, Jack Milefchik is survived by his wife, Jean; his
2children, Lisa (Bill) Harrington and Marty (Mindy) Milefchik;
3his grandchildren, Caitlyn, Camryn, Abby, Brady, and Blake;
4his siblings, Peggy (Jerry) Hammes, Dick (Jolayne) Milefchik,
5Patty (Jim) Wills, and Judy (Tim) Kearney; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8John P. "Jack" Milefchik and extend our sincere condolences to
9his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
10further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Jack Milefchik as an expression of
13our deepest sympathy.
