SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Jesse J. Witt of Colona, who passed away on March 3, 2019; and

WHEREAS, Jesse Witt was born in Monmouth to Frank Witt and Esther Hutchins on March 11, 1948; he served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War; and

WHEREAS, Jesse Witt retired from John Deere after 30 years of service; he also served as a union steward; and

WHEREAS, Jesse Witt enjoyed spending time with his dogs; and

WHEREAS, Jesse Witt was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Russell and Mitchel Witt; his great-nephew, Marvin R. Sutton; and his three great-great-nephews; and

WHEREAS, Jesse Witt is survived by his stepbrother, John Hutchins; his niece, Debra Witt; his special friend, Sharon Rule; his great-nieces, Lindsay Parsons and Margaret Sutton; his great-nephew, Justin Sutton; and his many great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Jesse J. Witt and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Jesse Witt as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
