| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Richard Leo Spence of Moline, who passed | 4 | | away on July 18, 2017; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Richard Spence was born in Aledo to Ralph and | 6 | | Gladys Brock Spence on June 16, 1930; he served in the United | 7 | | States Army during the Korean War and married Patricia A. | 8 | | Hughes in Fairfield, Iowa on September 14, 1956; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Richard Spence was employed for 20 years as a | 10 | | maintenance man with Montgomery Ward; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Richard Spence was preceded in death by his | 12 | | parents; his daughter, Pamela Spence; five brothers; his | 13 | | sons-in-law, Donald Adams and Dennis Edmonds; and his | 14 | | great-great-grandson, Maverick Clearman Warner; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Richard Spence is survived by his wife, Patricia; | 16 | | his daughters, Debra Spence, Elizabeth Dove, Sandra Septer, and | 17 | | Rosie Adams; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and | 18 | | one great-great-grandchild; therefore, be it
