SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Deno J. Filippini of Wilsonville, who passed away on July 3, 2017; and

WHEREAS, Deno Filippini was born in Wilsonville to Joseph and Agata Filippini on February 18, 1923; he married Irene M. Bollini in Carlinville on June 16, 1942; and

WHEREAS, Deno Filippini was a retired superintendent for Shell Oil; and

WHEREAS, Deno Filippini was a member of the Wilsonville Fire Department for 35 years; he was Willsonville Village Clerk for 69 years and a member of the Wilsonville Village Board for 73 years, the Gillespie Benld Ambulance Board for 30 years, and a charter member of Unit 7 Fire District Board; and

WHEREAS, Deno Filippini was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Irene; and his sister, Dena Giagnoni; and

WHEREAS, Deno Filippini is survived by his daughter, Pam (Randy) Reid; his grandsons, Ronald (Lydia) Reid and James "Jay" (Jaimi) Reid; his great-grandchildren, Cameron Reid and Paxton Reid; his sister-in-law, Dorothy Girardi; and several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Deno J. Filippini, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Deno Filippini as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
