SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Mary Asadorian of Granite City, who passed away on November 3, 2018; and

WHEREAS, Mary Asadorian was born in Granite City to Abraham and Hermine (Soukiasian) Kambarian on August 16, 1924; she married Edward Asadorian on October 4, 1947; and

WHEREAS, Mary Asadorian was a homemaker and a mom and had a generous and friendly nature; and

WHEREAS, Mary Asadorian was a member of St. Gregory the Illuminator Armenian Apostolic Church in Granite City, where she was active with the Ladies Guild and the Mr. & Mrs. Club; she was also a member of the Lincoln Place Heritage Association; she enjoyed playing bingo, entertaining friends, and spending time with her family; and

WHEREAS, Mary Asadorian was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward; her brothers, Jerry and Virgil Kambarian; her sister, Charlotte (Fred) McMillan; and her infant sister, Perooz Kambarian; and

WHEREAS, Mary Asadorian is survived by her children, Eddie (Norma) Asadorian, Arthur (Pam) Asadorian, and Melanie (Graham) Keeney; her grandchildren, Andrew (Chelsea) Asadorian and Angela (Zane Potter) Keeney; her stepgrandchildren, Rick and Tiffany Evans; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Makenzie and Ian Evans; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and many other close family members and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Mary Asadorian and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Mary Asadorian as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
