SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Francisco "Poncho" Antonio Pulido Sr. of Alton, who passed away on February 22, 2018; and

WHEREAS, Francisco Pulido Sr. was born in Granite City to Jesus and Mary (Rodriguez) Pulido on July 24, 1928; he married Margarita Lopez in St. Louis, Missouri on October 21, 1950; and

WHEREAS, Francisco Pulido Sr. worked as a crane hooker at Laclede Steel and retired after 40 years; and

WHEREAS, Francisco Pulido Sr. was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alton; he loved to barbecue and keep his cars clean; and

WHEREAS, Francisco Pulido Sr. was preceded in death by his parents; his three sisters; his two-half sisters; and one-half brother; and

WHEREAS, Francisco Pulido Sr. is survived by his wife, Margarita; his daughters, Gloria (Ron) Pugh and Olivia (Charlie) Fischer; his son, Francisco (Mary) Pulido Jr.; his grandchildren, Frank (Angie) Kuchnicki, Erika (Ed) Jacobs, Francisco "Paco" Pulido III, Eric (Amy) Pulido, Marcos (Stacy) Pulido, Alex (Ann) Pulido, Cristina (Jim) Siatos, and Lucas Fischer; his great-grandchildren, Brenden, Carlos, Luna, Marisol, Gianna, Sophia, Lucia, Adam, Nikolas, Ana, and Gus; his five-half siblings; and his many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Francisco "Poncho" Antonio Pulido Sr. and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Francisco Pulido Sr. as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
