| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Jane Frances Roewer of Wonder Lake, who | 4 | | passed away on January 11, 2018; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Jane Roewer was born to Robert and Frances (Rocak) | 6 | | Danilovich on October 19, 1927 and grew up in Cicero; she | 7 | | graduated from Morton High School in Cicero; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Jane Roewer began working for the Veterans | 9 | | Administration hospital in Heinz as a medical stenographer in a | 10 | | neuro-psychiatric ward in the tuberculosis department; her | 11 | | family moved to Crystal Lake, where she married Erdman (Bud) | 12 | | Roewer on May 21, 1949 and they settled in McHenry; and | 13 | | WHEREAS, Jane Roewer worked a part time job as a mail | 14 | | carrier for the United States Post Office; she held several | 15 | | other jobs, including a Stanley Home Products dealer, an office | 16 | | worker at Sun Electric, and with the Board of Transportation | 17 | | for school districts 15 and 115; and | 18 | | WHEREAS, Jane Roewer was a Cub Scout Den Mother and an | 19 | | election judge; she enjoyed swimming, camping, cards, | 20 | | crosswords, solitaire, cooking, reading, gardening, and garage | 21 | | sales; she was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs and Bears fan; |

| 1 | | she was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church; she was an | 2 | | animal lover and enjoyed taking her dog for a walk in the | 3 | | woods; and
| 4 | | WHEREAS, Jane Roewer was preceded in death by her husband, | 5 | | Bud; her siblings, Rose and Sophie; and her parents; and
| 6 | | WHEREAS, Jane Roewer is survived by her children, Terri | 7 | | Lavin, Sherri (Mitch) Rittorno, Karen (Daniel) Meier, Robin | 8 | | (Jim) Fulton, and Robert (Kelly) Roewer; her grandchildren, | 9 | | K.J., Robby, and Jesse Lavin, Amy La Tessa (Dave Wright), Mike | 10 | | La Tessa (Christina Russo), and Patrick and Evan Roewer; her | 11 | | great-grandchildren, Collin, Ashleigh, Danica, Madison | 12 | | (Russo), Liam, and Eva; and many nieces and nephews, including | 13 | | Ed (Kay) Lutz; therefore, be it
| 14 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | 15 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 16 | | Jane Frances Roewer, and extend our sincere condolences to her | 17 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | 18 | | further
