SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Curtis L. Tannahill of Coal Valley, who passed away on January 13, 2018; and

WHEREAS, Curt Tannahill was born in Albert Lea, Minnesota to Dwayne and Hazel Reynolds Tannahill on June 26, 1943; he was a veteran and proudly served in the United States Army; he married Maylouise "Missy" Frels in Moline on October 5, 1991; and

WHEREAS, Curt Tannahill worked as an assembler at Case IH in East Moline; and

WHEREAS, Curt Tannahill was a member and steward of the United Auto Workers 1304; he enjoyed his yearly hunting trips and golfing with his good friends; he liked to be outdoors and enjoyed working in his yard and his fish pond; above all, he loved being with his family and friends; and

WHEREAS, Curt Tannahill was preceded in death by his parents; and his two sisters; and

WHEREAS, Curt Tannahill is survived by his wife, Maylouise, his daughter, Shelly (Doug) Buller; his sons, Todd (Eileen) Tannahill and Troy (Susan) Tannahill; his stepdaughter, Jennifer (David) Schenk; his grandchildren, Jeremy, Catie, Samantha, Cynthia, Christopher, Ryan, and Nick; and his great-grandchildren, Selena and Valerina; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Curtis L. Tannahill and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Curt Tannahill as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
