SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Elsie Lenora Hall of Creve Coeur, who passed away on January 18, 2018; and

WHEREAS, Elsie Hall was born in Ruble, Missouri to George Thomas and Nellie (Gilmer) Sutton on December 9, 1929; she married Charles D. Hall in Harrison, Arkansas on April 17, 1948; and

WHEREAS, Elsie Hall was a homemaker early in her life; she then worked at Steak 'n Shake in Pekin and East Peoria; she later worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Apostolic Christian Restmor in Morton; and

WHEREAS, Elsie Hall enjoyed playing Bingo and the lottery and going out to eat; she was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and a lifelong Democrat; and

WHEREAS, Elsie Hall was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Hall; her parents; her son, Howard Hall; her granddaughter, Chrissy Hall; her three brothers; and her sister; and

WHEREAS, Elsie Hall is survived by her sons, Gary (Betty) Hall and Charles (Diane) Hall; her daughters, Carol (Terry) Dickson, June (Jerry) Gould, Cheryl Shaver, and Brenda Auer; her 13 grandchildren; her 12 great-grandchildren; and her daughter-in-law, Marilyn Hall; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Elsie Lenora Hall and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Elsie Hall as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
