| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Richard David Fox of Bloomington, who | 4 | | passed away on December 21, 2017; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, David Fox was born in Bloomington to Richard | 6 | | Charles and Betty Virginia Arnold Fox on August 30, 1942; he | 7 | | graduated from Trinity High School in 1960 and joined the | 8 | | Illinois National Guard, serving from 1960 to 1964; he married | 9 | | Carol Lynn Keeran at St. Mary's Parish in Bloomington on May | 10 | | 11, 1963; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, David Fox joined the Bloomington Fire Department | 12 | | in 1970, where he served for 24 years before his retirement; | 13 | | during that time, he became a barber and cut hair in the | 14 | | Griesheim Building; he also worked for State Farm Insurance in | 15 | | administrative services on his days off from the fire | 16 | | department; and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, David Fox was a longtime member of Bloomington | 18 | | Knights of Columbus Council 574 and the Holy Trinity Catholic | 19 | | Church in Bloomington; his greatest loves were his wife, his | 20 | | children, and his grandchildren and he was devoted to all of | 21 | | them, supporting them in so many ways; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, David Fox was preceded in death by his parents; | 2 | | and
| 3 | | WHEREAS, David Fox is survived by his wife, Carol Lynn; his | 4 | | children, Col. Richard David (Kim) Fox and Nancy Ann (Rob) | 5 | | Bryant; his grandchildren, Caroline Linville Fox, Jonathon | 6 | | Graham Fox, Griffin Prescott Fox, Grace McKinney Bryant, Robert | 7 | | Fatherson Bryant Jr., and William Fox Bryant; and his brother, | 8 | | Dennis P. Fox D.D.S.; therefore, be it
| 9 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | 10 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 11 | | Richard David Fox, and extend our sincere condolences to his | 12 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 13 | | further
| 14 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 15 | | presented to the family of David Fox as an expression of our | 16 | | deepest sympathy.
