SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Jay A. Miller of Colona, who passed away on December 29, 2017; and

WHEREAS, Jay Miller was born in Moline to Jack and Nora Crawford Miller on November 25, 1950; he served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War; and

WHEREAS, Jay Miller worked as a welder; and

WHEREAS, Jay Miller was a member of the Lions Club, the Knights of Columbus, and Leader Guide Dogs for the Blind; and

WHEREAS, Jay Miller is survived by his children, Dawn (Carl) Vincent, Jacob Miller, and Janel Miller; his grandchildren, Kelsey Cornett and Connor May; his great-grandson, Floyd Kelsey; his sisters, Jackie Miller, Karen Morrison, and Sue (Leroy) Kelley; and his brother, Bud (Jan) Miller; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Jay A. Miller, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Jay Miller as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
