| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Jay A. Miller of Colona, who passed away | 4 | | on December 29, 2017; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Jay Miller was born in Moline to Jack and Nora | 6 | | Crawford Miller on November 25, 1950; he served in the United | 7 | | States Army during the Vietnam War; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Jay Miller worked as a welder; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Jay Miller was a member of the Lions Club, the | 10 | | Knights of Columbus, and Leader Guide Dogs for the Blind; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Jay Miller is survived by his children, Dawn | 12 | | (Carl) Vincent, Jacob Miller, and Janel Miller; his | 13 | | grandchildren, Kelsey Cornett and Connor May; his | 14 | | great-grandson, Floyd Kelsey; his sisters, Jackie Miller, | 15 | | Karen Morrison, and Sue (Leroy) Kelley; and his brother, Bud | 16 | | (Jan) Miller; therefore, be it
