1     AN ACT concerning government.

2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:

4     Section 1. Short title. This Act may be cited as the
5 Government Cybersecurity Review Act.

6     Section 5. Definitions. In this Act:
7     "Department" means the Department of Innovation and
8 Technology.
9     "Division" means the Division of Cybersecurity Inspection.
10     "State agency" means any agency under the jurisdiction of
11 the Governor.

12     Section 10. Division of Cybersecurity Inspection.
13     (a) The Division of Cybersecurity Inspection is created
14 within the Department.
15     (b) The Division shall review all websites operated by
16 State agencies to determine whether cybersecurity flaws and
17 data breach risks exist.

18     Section 15. Cease and desist orders. If the Division finds
19 that a cybersecurity flaw or data breach risk exists, the
20 Division may issue an order to the State agency to cease
21 operation of the website until the cybersecurity flaw or data

1 breach risk has been resolved.
