| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Clifford W. M. Leegard of Wonder Lake, | 4 | | who passed away on October 18, 2016; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Clifford Leegard was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana | 6 | | to Clifford W. and Grace (Petrich) Leegard on July 24, 1946; he | 7 | | attended college and married Lynn Thompson in Fergus Falls, | 8 | | Minnesota on August 12, 1967; he later enlisted in the United | 9 | | States Air Force and proudly served his country as a Sergeant | 10 | | for six years; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Clifford Leegard lived in Lenexa, Kansas before | 12 | | moving to Wonder Lake, where he went to work for BNSF Railroad | 13 | | as a signal designer; and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Clifford Leegard was a member of the Master | 15 | | Property Owners Association of Wonder Lake; he was a member of | 16 | | the Wonder Lake Yacht Club and was a supporter of the Wonder | 17 | | Lake Ski Team; he earned the rank of Life in Boy Scouts and was | 18 | | an avid boater; he enjoyed adopting retired greyhound dogs and | 19 | | was known in his subdivision as someone who could be called | 20 | | upon when help was needed; he was always helping others and | 21 | | gave the gift of life through tissue donation to Gift of Hope; | 22 | | and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Clifford Leegard was preceded in death by his | 2 | | parents and his brother-in-law, Robert; and
| 3 | | WHEREAS, Clifford Leegard is survived by his wife, Lynn; | 4 | | his sons, Jon (Claire), and Roger (Nicole) Leegard; his | 5 | | grandchildren, Lauren, Ethan, Nolan, Emma, Audrey, and | 6 | | Corinne; and his sisters, Sharon (Pete) Buresh, and Suzanne | 7 | | Ansley; therefore, be it
| 8 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | 9 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 10 | | Clifford W. M. Leegard, and extend our sincere condolences to | 11 | | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 12 | | further
| 13 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 14 | | presented to the family of Clifford Leegard as an expression of | 15 | | our deepest sympathy.
