SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

220 ILCS 5/8-103B new

Amends the Public Utilities Act. Provides that no later than June 30, 2017, the Illinois Commerce Commission shall issue a report evaluating the effectiveness of the 3-year planning and implementation timeline applicable to electric utilities' energy efficiency and demand response plans and gas utilities' energy efficiency plans as set forth in the Act through the period ending May 31, 2014. Effective immediately.

AN ACT concerning regulation.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Public Utilities Act is amended by adding Section 8-103B as follows:

Sec. 8-103B. Energy efficiency report. No later than June 30, 2017, the Commission shall issue a report evaluating the effectiveness of the 3-year planning and implementation timeline applicable to electric utilities' energy efficiency and demand response plans and gas utilities' energy efficiency plans as set forth in Sections 8-103 and 8-104 of this Act, respectively, through the period ending May 31, 2014.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon becoming law.
