HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Mike Hamlin on his retirement from the West Chicago Fire Protection District; and

WHEREAS, He joined the District in 1971 as a Paid on Call Fireman; in 1974, he became a Registered EMT-A; in 1975, he completed Certified Firefighter Courses; and in 1976, he was hired as a full-time career firefighter; and

WHEREAS, In 1980, he was promoted to Lieutenant; in 1986, he completed Firefighter II training, and he completed Firefighter III training in 1989; from 1991-2001 he served as a Safety Officer; and

WHEREAS, He will be retiring on June 30, 2011; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Mike Hamlin on his retirement and thank him for his years of service as a Firefighter; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Mike Hamlin as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
