HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to congratulate the members of the
4 Hardin County FFA Horse Judging Team on the occasion of their
5 victories at the State Horse Judging Contest at Black Hawk East
6 College and the National FFA Horse Judging Contest; and
 
7     WHEREAS, On September 20, 2008, the Hardin County FFA Horse
8 Judging Team competed in the State Horse Judging Contest at
9 Black Hawk East College in Kewanee; the team placed first
10 overall out of 75 participating teams; and
 
11     WHEREAS, The Hardin County FFA Horse Judging Team's victory
12 qualified the team to compete at the National FFA Horse Judging
13 Contest, held during the National FFA Convention in
14 Indianapolis, Indiana in October of 2008; the team placed
15 seventh out of 47 states represented in the contest; and
 
16     WHEREAS, The Hardin County FFA Horse Judging Team will
17 travel to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma in August of 2009 to
18 participate in the AQHA Youth World Show; and
 
19     WHEREAS, The members of the Hardin County FFA Horse Judging
20 Team are Josi Reed, Emillee Atkinson, Jackie Reed, and Natalie
21 Carr; the team's FFA Advisor is Jean Bond and the team's coach

2     WHEREAS, The members of the Hardin County FFA Horse Judging
3 Team serve as models of hard work, integrity, and dedication
4 for the people of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it
 
5     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
6 NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
7 congratulate the members of the Hardin County FFA Horse Judging
8 Team on the occasion of their State and national victories and
9 wish them continued success and happiness in the future; and be
10 it further
 
11     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12 presented to the members of the Hardin County FFA Horse Judging
13 Team as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
