| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Arthur T. "A.T." "Tom" Preder, Jr. of | 4 | | Mountain Home, Arkansas, who passed away on July 20, 2015; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Arthur Preder, Jr. was born in Evanston on April | 6 | | 3, 1943 to Arthur, Sr. and Martha (nee Knox) Preder; he married | 7 | | Constance "Connie" Sanstad in 1964; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Arthur Preder, Jr. joined the Waukegan Police | 9 | | Department as a patrolman in 1966; he retired from the Village | 10 | | of Lindenhurst Police Department as a Lieutenant in April of | 11 | | 1993 after serving a total of 27 years as a police officer; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Arthur Preder, Jr. and his wife moved to Mountain | 13 | | Home, Arkansas in June of 1995; he was a member of the Mountain | 14 | | Home Moose Lodge 1953 and the Elks Club 1714; he enjoyed | 15 | | golfing with his best friend, Butch Weatherby and socializing | 16 | | with friends at Ole Chi Mill and other lodges; and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Arthur Preder, Jr. was preceded in death by his | 18 | | parents; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Arthur Preder, Jr. is survived by his wife of 50 | 20 | | years, Connie; his daughters, Dana Agostinelli and Kimberly |

| 1 | | Poole; his grandchildren, Joey and Briana Agostinelli; his dog, | 2 | | Emily (Emma); his sister, Marilyn Preder and her children; his | 3 | | sister-in-law, Pat Smith; and many other relatives; therefore, | 4 | | be it
| 5 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | 6 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 7 | | Arthur T. "A.T." "Tom" Preder, Jr., and extend our sincere | 8 | | condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved | 9 | | him; and be it further
| 10 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 11 | | presented to the family of Arthur Preder, Jr. as an expression | 12 | | of our deepest sympathy.
