| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Jeannine Ingram (nee Willis) Burger of | 4 | | Elgin, who passed away on February 8, 2014; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Jeannine Burger was born in Melrose Park on May 8, | 6 | | 1929 to Elna Fran and Donald Reiter Willis; she attended Beloit | 7 | | College in Wisconsin and graduated from the University of | 8 | | California, Berkeley; she married Dr. George VanderKarr | 9 | | Burger; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Jeannine Burger was a member of First | 11 | | Congregational Church of Elgin, and in 2001, she and her | 12 | | husband, were inducted into the Elgin Area Hall of Fame for | 13 | | contributing to the history and heritage of the area through | 14 | | the years of collecting and organizing church records; she was | 15 | | also a member of the Tri Delta sorority, a 60-year member of | 16 | | the Daughters of the American Revolution, and an active | 17 | | genealogist, having been a charter member and officer of the | 18 | | Elgin Genealogical Society; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Jeannine Burger was preceded in death by her | 20 | | husband, and by her sister, Mary Ellen Willis; and
| 21 | | WHEREAS, Jeannine Burger is survived by her daughters, |

| 4 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL | 5 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 6 | | Jeannine Ingram Burger, and extend our sincere condolences to | 7 | | her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | 8 | | further
| 9 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 10 | | presented to the family of Jeannine Burger as an expression of | 11 | | our deepest sympathy.
