| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are deeply | 3 | | saddened to learn of the death of William Joseph "Bill" Zorzy, | 4 | | who died on August 9, 2012; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, William Zorzy was born on March 7, 1939, to Joseph | 6 | | and Hildegard Zorzy; he was married to Mary Ann, with whom he | 7 | | was approaching their 50th wedding anniversary; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, William Zorzy graduated from North Chicago High | 9 | | School and Northeastern University; he served his country in | 10 | | the U.S. Army; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, William Zorzy enjoyed fishing and attending the | 12 | | sporting events of his grandchildren, especially the football | 13 | | games of his oldest grandson, Matthew; he was a member of the | 14 | | Lake Villa American Legion Post 1219, the Illinois Association | 15 | | Chief of Police, and the North Chicago Police Pension Board; he | 16 | | retired as Chief of Police in North Chicago in 1998 after | 17 | | serving the community for 25 years; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, William Zorzy was preceded in death by his | 19 | | parents, Joseph and Hildegard Zorzy and his sister, Mary Jean; | 20 | | and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, William Zorzy is survived by his wife, Mary Ann; | 2 | | his children, William (Beth) Zorzy, Julianne (Rob) Williams, | 3 | | Michael (Maria) Zorzy, and David (Simone) Zorzy; his 10 | 4 | | grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends; | 5 | | therefore, be it
| 6 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL | 7 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 8 | | William Zorzy, and we extend our sincere condolences to his | 9 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 10 | | further
| 11 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 12 | | presented to the family of William Zorzy as an expression of | 13 | | our deepest sympathy.
