| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | 3 | | to learn of the death of Kerry J. Dixon of Hampton, who passed | 4 | | away on February 22, 2022; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Kerry Dixon was born in Moline on July 23, 1963; | 6 | | he served in the U.S. Army and married Debora K. Sellmann in | 7 | | Davenport, Iowa in 1988; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Kerry Dixon was employed for 25 years at Arconic | 9 | | in Riverside, Iowa and was a member of United Steel Workers | 10 | | Local 105 in Bettendorf, Iowa; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Kerry Dixon enjoyed riding his Harley, playing | 12 | | video games, listening to music, and watching football, | 13 | | especially the Chicago Bears; his favorite times were those | 14 | | spent with his family; he was a loving and devoted husband, | 15 | | father, and grandfather; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Kerry Dixon was preceded in death by his maternal | 17 | | grandmother, Lorene Wheeler; his mother, Opal E. Wheeler; and | 18 | | his uncles, Johnny and Jerry Wheeler; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Kerry Dixon is survived by his wife, Debora; his | 20 | | daughters, Elizabeth (Christopher) DeHaven and Sheena Elliott; |
