HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives wish to congratulate the Jacksonville Middle
4School 8th grade boys track team, the Crimsons, on their
5accomplishments at the 2024 Illinois Elementary School
6Association (IESA) Class 4A 8th Grade Boys State Track and
7Field Meet; and
 
8    WHEREAS, The Crimsons 8th grade boys track team finished
9first in the 4x100m relay with a time of 45.74 seconds, a
10Jacksonville Middle School record; and
 
11    WHEREAS, The Crimsons 8th grade boys track team also
12placed second in the 4x400m relay with a time of 3 minutes and
1340.07 seconds; and
 
14    WHEREAS, The Crimsons 8th grade boys track team had
15several achievements in individual events as well, including
16Darren Henry and Wyatt Moore placing first and second in the
17high jump event, respectively, Darren Henry placing second in
18long jump, and Jeremiah Jackson placing second in the 110m
19hurdles; and
 
20    WHEREAS, The Crimsons 8th grade boys track team includes
21Jason Brown, Calvin Gause, Riley Hagar, Darren Henry, Jeremiah

1Jackson, Brock Meyer, Wyatt Moore, Ryan Reese, and Carvell
2Stephens; and
 
3    WHEREAS, The Crimsons 8th grade boys track team is led by
4Coach Leon Clinton; therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
6HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
7we congratulate the Jacksonville Middle School 8th grade boys
8track team, the Crimsons, on their accomplishments at the 2024
9Illinois Elementary School Association (IESA) Class 4A 8th
10Grade Boys State Track and Field Meet, and we wish them
11continued success in the future; and be it further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the Jacksonville Middle School 8th grade boys
14track team as an expression of our esteem and respect.
