| HOUSE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the | 3 |
| State of Illinois learned with sadness of the death of Fred L. | 4 |
| Hubbard, former mayor of Roxana, on Wednesday, December 14, | 5 |
| 2005; and
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, He was born on January 28, 1949, in Alton to Wayne | 7 |
| and Fay (Stark) Hubbard;
he married the former Nancy A. Hanks | 8 |
| on February 14, 1987, in Rosewood Heights; and
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, He graduated from SIU with a Bachelor of Arts | 10 |
| degree in business and was a manager of Kienstra Concrete for | 11 |
| ten years; and
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, He was mayor of Roxana for five years and a member | 13 |
| of the Roxana Village Board for 26 years; he was a member of | 14 |
| the Wood River Moose Lodge, the Alton Eagles, the Riverbend | 15 |
| Growth Association, member and song director of the First | 16 |
| Baptist Church of Roxana, and was a former member of the Black | 17 |
| Knights Drum Corps; and

| WHEREAS, The passing of Fred L. Hubbard has been deeply | 19 |
| felt by many, especially his wife, Nancy; his stepdaughter, | 20 |
| Deanne Harrison; his stepson and his wife, Nick and Kristi | 21 |
| Adams; his grandchildren, Steven and Spencer; his brother and | 22 |
| sister-in-law, Charley and Sue Hubbard; and his niece and | 23 |
| nephew, Jim and Kelli Brown, and their children, Chris, Ashley, | 24 |
| and Tanner; he was preceded in death by his parents; his twin | 25 |
| grandchildren, Hope and Bennett Harrison; his brothers, Donald | 26 |
| and Doug Hubbard; and his sister, Dorothy Hubbard; therefore, | 27 |
| be it

| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | 29 |
| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | 30 |
| we mourn the passing of Fred L. Hubbard, and we extend our |
