| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | 3 | | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Mary | 4 | | Peery of Chicago, who passed away on November 10, 2017; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Mary Peery was born on December 16, 1925; and
| 6 | | WHEREAS, Mary Peery started working at a west side | 7 | | electrical plant as a core-cleaner on industrial equipment; she | 8 | | became the plant's first female core-maker, eventually | 9 | | supervising the other core-makers; she retired at the age of 73 | 10 | | after nearly 40 years of service; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Mary Peery was preceded in death by her brother, | 12 | | Charles Anderson, and her sister, Leola Spann; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Mary Peery is survived by her daughters, Geraldine | 14 | | Green (James) and Neva
Hardaway (Ronnie); Mildred Webster, | 15 | | Katie Pettis, Betty Taylor, Shirley
Chambers, John Dorsey, and | 16 | | Levy Anderson Jr.; her grandchildren, Anita Dilce,
Harvey | 17 | | Fields (Lawanda), James Green (Tracy), Clarence Jackson III
