| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Eleni Stacy Camino of Lake Forest, who | 4 | | passed away on June 3, 2017; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Eleni Camino was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to | 6 | | Dorothy Georges and Constantine Stacy on August 8, 1939; she | 7 | | graduated from Downers Grove High School and Lake Forest | 8 | | College; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Eleni Camino taught elementary school in | 10 | | Milwaukee, where she met her husband of 52 years, Michael R. | 11 | | Camino, on a blind date; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Eleni Camino served on the board of the Lake | 13 | | Forest Chapter of the Infant Welfare Society of Chicago for | 14 | | over 45 years; she was a past president and was instrumental in | 15 | | creating the bi-annual Showhouse & Gardens; she also served on | 16 | | the boards of the Junior Garden Club of Lake Forest and the | 17 | | Women's Board of Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital; and | 18 | | WHEREAS, Eleni Camino had a passion for interior design; | 19 | | her interest in collecting vintage and fine antiques led her to | 20 | | start a small business selling her finds in antique shops for | 21 | | over 12 years; of all her roles, her favorites were "Nanie" to |

| 1 | | her grandchildren, mom, wife, and aunt; and
| 2 | | WHEREAS, Eleni Camino was preceded in death by her parents | 3 | | and her brother, Peter (Doris) Stacy; and
| 4 | | WHEREAS, Eleni Camino is survived by her husband, Michael; | 5 | | her daughters, Jennifer (Chapin) Mower, Courtney (Charles) | 6 | | Petit, and Stephanie (Nate) Wolverton; and her grandchildren | 7 | | Trevor, Caroline, Victoria, Alexandra, and Elizabeth; and her | 8 | | sister, Vivian (Michael) Eacarrino; therefore, be it
| 9 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | 10 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 11 | | Eleni Stacy Camino, and extend our sincere condolences to her | 12 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | 13 | | further
