| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | 3 | | to learn of the death of Barbara Jean Dooper of St. Charles, | 4 | | formerly of Zion, who passed away on January 21, 2023; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Barbara Dooper was born to Leslie and Marian | 6 | | Worth in Waukegan on September 29, 1940; she married Joseph | 7 | | Dooper at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Wadsworth on February | 8 | | 16, 1963; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Barbara Dooper worked as a car hop at Dog N Suds, | 10 | | a ticket seller at Genesee Theater, and a secretary at Abbott | 11 | | Laboratories; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Barbara Dooper was involved with her children's | 13 | | school as PTO Co-President and served as room mother as well as | 14 | | a den mother for Cub Scouts; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Barbara Dooper enjoyed reading and cheering on | 16 | | the Chicago Cubs; she was a wonderful hostess and enjoyed | 17 | | trying out new recipes at the annual family Christmas parties; | 18 | | and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Barbara Dooper was preceded in death by her | 20 | | parents; her husband; and her four siblings, Norman Worth, |

| 1 | | Carol Richardson, Peggy Danus, and Bill McClure; and
| 2 | | WHEREAS, Barbara Dooper is survived by her two children, | 3 | | Michael (Kerri) Dooper and Ann (Rich) Hodyl; her four | 4 | | grandchildren, Brian (Amber) Dooper, Matthew Dooper, Charlie | 5 | | Hodyl, and Sam Hodyl; her two great-grandchildren, Brooke and | 6 | | Leah; her sister, Shirley Johnson; her sister-in-law, Eloise | 7 | | Dooper; her brother-in-law, John Richardson; and her many | 8 | | other relatives and friends; therefore, be it
| 9 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL | 10 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
| 11 | | Barbara Jean Dooper and extend our sincere
condolences to her | 12 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved
