| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | 3 | | to learn of the death of Bert A. Brown of Rock Island, who | 4 | | passed away on July 8, 2021; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Bert Brown was born to Bert R. and Fama (Snook) | 6 | | Brown in Moline on June 18, 1938; he married Ella Jones on | 7 | | August 11, 1962; he served in the U.S. Army; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Bert Brown worked in the machine shop at the | 9 | | former Frank Foundry in Moline; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Bert Brown was a member of Edgewood Baptist | 11 | | Church, Rock Island; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Bert Brown enjoyed fishing, hunting, wood | 13 | | working, range shooting, mushroom hunting, traveling, | 14 | | photography, and motorcycle rides; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Bert Brown was preceded in death by his wife; his | 16 | | parents; and his siblings, Adeline Meir, Phyllis Edmond, and | 17 | | Charlotte Schaab; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Bert Brown is survived by his son, Bert A. Brown | 19 | | II (Jessica McGuire-Brown), and his siblings, Roy and William |

| 2 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | 3 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 4 | | Bert A. Brown and extend our sincere condolences to his | 5 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 6 | | further
