| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Rodney D. Aavang of Greenwood, who passed | 4 | | away on January 3, 2017; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Rodney Aavang was born on the family farm to Almer | 6 | | and Lilly (Schroeder) Aavang on August 26, 1927 and was a | 7 | | lifelong resident of Greenwood Township; he graduated from | 8 | | Woodstock High School in 1945 and married Libbie Barber at | 9 | | Greenwood Methodist Church on October 21, 1950; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Rodney Aavang was a longtime member of the McHenry | 11 | | County Farm Bureau, the McHenry County Fair Association, and | 12 | | the Woodstock Progressive Milk Association; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Rodney Aavang was preceded in death by his | 14 | | parents; his sisters, Ethel Wilcox, and Bessie Worm; his | 15 | | brothers, Elmer, Clarence, and Victor Aavang; his | 16 | | granddaughter, Juniper Aavang; and his daughter-in-law, Cathy | 17 | | Aavang; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Rodney Aavang is survived by his wife of over 66 | 19 | | years, Libbie; his children, Dan Aavang, Sarah Aavang (Robert | 20 | | Lukes), Gary (Michele) Aavang, John Lohse, and JoAnn (David) | 21 | | Lohse; his grandchildren, Rachel Aavang (Vassil Antonov), |
