| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of James Stilling of McHenry, who passed | 4 | | away on September 26, 2016; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, James Stilling was born in Johnsburg to Benjamin | 6 | | and Christina (Meyer) Stilling on December 6, 1926; he married | 7 | | Catherine Sullivan in Wonder Lake on November 12, 1949; he | 8 | | served in the United States Army during World War II from 1945 | 9 | | to 1947; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, James Stilling worked as a carpenter for George | 11 | | Hiller and Son for 45 years; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, James Stilling enjoyed playing golf and was a Cub | 13 | | Scout leader for 10 years; his most precious times were those | 14 | | he spent with his family; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, James Stilling was preceded in death by his | 16 | | grandson, Andrew; his brothers, Raymond, Elmer, Clarence, and | 17 | | Daniel; and his sisters, Rita, Violet, and Lucile; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, James Stilling is survived by his wife of 67 | 19 | | years, Catherine; his children, James Jr. (Audrey), David | 20 | | (Gina), Kevin, and Thomas; his grandchildren, Joanne (Mike) |
