| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Hunter William Shodeen of Geneva, who | 4 | | passed away on September 10, 2016; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Hunter Shodeen was born in St. Charles to Craig | 6 | | and Pamela (Parker) Shodeen on December 8, 1989; he graduated | 7 | | from Geneva High School in 2008, where he excelled in many | 8 | | sports; he graduated from Northern Illinois University in 2013 | 9 | | with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Hunter Shodeen began his career in Washington, | 11 | | D.C. as the Scandinavian Affairs Liaison for Congressman Randy | 12 | | Hultgren; he served as the Kane County Field Office Manager for | 13 | | Governor Bruce Rauner's campaign; most recently, he worked as | 14 | | Legislative Liaison for the Illinois Commerce Commission; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Hunter Shodeen made friends easily and loved | 16 | | spending time with his family; and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Hunter Shodeen was preceded in death by his | 18 | | grandfather, William Parker; his uncle, Eric Shodeen; and | 19 | | "Cousin Mike"; and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Hunter Shodeen is survived by his parents; his |

| 1 | | sister, Samantha (Nathan) Zoch; his nephews and nieces, Owen, | 2 | | Andrew, Marlowe, Maegan (Brian) Kinane, Seamus, and Ronan; his | 3 | | grandparents, Kent and Joan Shodeen, and Donald and Brunhilde | 4 | | Vogelsberg; and many other dear relatives and friends; | 5 | | therefore, be it
| 6 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | 7 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 8 | | Hunter William Shodeen, and extend our sincere condolences to | 9 | | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 10 | | further
| 11 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 12 | | presented to the family of Hunter Shodeen as an expression of | 13 | | our deepest sympathy.
