| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Barbara C. Joehl of Godfrey, who passed | 4 | | away on February 19, 2017 at the age of 93; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Barbara Joehl was born in Godfrey to Joseph and | 6 | | Caroline (Nolan) Schetter on November 12, 1923; she married | 7 | | Raymond C. Joehl in Alton on May 2, 1944; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Barbara Joehl was an active member of Saint | 9 | | Ambrose Catholic Church in Godfrey; she worked in food services | 10 | | at Monticello College and had also worked for Western Cartridge | 11 | | Company in East Alton; she was a Madison County election worker | 12 | | for her local precinct; she retired from Joehl's Alfalfa Queen | 13 | | Farm in 1982; and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Barbara Joehl was preceded in death by her | 15 | | parents; her husband; her daughter, Eleanor Nolan; her son, | 16 | | Maurice Joehl; two grandchildren, Timothy Joehl and Gregory | 17 | | Nolan; two great-grandchildren, Matthew Ruckman and Bobby | 18 | | Sims; two brothers, Joseph and Leon Schetter; and four sisters, | 19 | | Ann Heafner, Josephine Tipsword, Elizabeth Ely, and Christine | 20 | | Kraushaar; and
| 21 | | WHEREAS, Barbara Joehl is survived by 13 children, Eileen |
